Breville BJE430SIL vs Breville JE98XL review and compare

If you are tired of making small amounts of juice with the regular juicer, it is time for you to change that device and switch to this one because it bottle holds over 2 liters of fluid at a time. Breville-BJE430SIL-Juice Fountain Cold and Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juice Extractor is a Centrifuge Juicer that uses Cold Spin Technology to minimize the transfer of temperature to the juice thereby preserving the nutritional benefits, nutrients, and enzymes by using micro-mesh filters.

Cold Press Juicers are usually limited to hold both masticating juicers and triturating juicers (also acknowledged as twin gear juicers). Breville is working to sell this model as a cool press juicer. If you are approaching a juice diet and you’re juicing more than once a day you may get it easier to use the Breville Cold juicer rather than a cold press juicer because it’s time-saving.

Overview

This is a juicer that is silver in color and made from plastic. If you are a novice, this will be excellent for you. The design runs at 850 Watts and has separate speeds for soft and hard materials. There is 13000 rotation per minute and 6500 RPM. Fruits hold water, and the main reason people have them is that of the nutrients. The juicing mechanism of this juicer catches more nutrients than other devices of the same category and transports less than 1.8 Fahrenheit of heat to save enzymes and capitalize on the nutrient absorption of first-rate nutrients. The mechanism is so correctly manufactured that it comes with a shredding disc which can take care of the harder fruits like apples. You do not have to spend hours on cutting fruits and vegetables into small pieces because this machine can take care of big chunks. It comes with a jug that allows you to store it in the refrigerator to keep it fresh for more than three days!

Key Features

  • Uses three control styles: Has a switch that you can choose between off, fast and slow.
  • Very Quick! The low speed is 65000rpm and uses 13000rmp with the faster pace.
  • Super full chute feed that sits 3″ wide and allows you to juice large fruits and veggies.
  • Pulp Container Capacity features a pulp container that is 3.6 qt which equals 3.4 L. The Juice jug “Seal & Store” weighs in at 70 fl oz.

Cold Spin Technology™

Things that can discourage people with juicing is the time, the prep job, and holding a small container the juice is separated into. With Breville’s registered Elevated Juicing System and Cold Spin Technology™ you can make up to 70 ounces, or two liters of juice at one time.

The 13,000 RPM processing speed plus allows you to easily juice your favorite harsh ingredients in a portion of the time. Because a micro-mesh filter filters it, there is insignificant temperature, which helps this outward to act almost as a masticating juicer appearing in a more nutrient-rich, less oxidized juice that can be kept fresh for up to three days. Mostly you can juice more, store more, and clean less! With your juice is not held in the Juicer for long, that helps to keep the heat down.

I don’t think this centrifugal juicer can ever pass as a masticating juicer like my Omega J8006, but it is a step in the right direction. The Cold Spin Technology™ does it’s a bit to keep your juice fresh, and the airtight jug is undoubtedly going to help in giving your juice a longer shelf life.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • 2 Speeds – This provides for slow and fast juicing when juicing some food types. It is essential that you select the right speed based on the amount of liquid in the food itself.
  • Not hard to clean – I rinsed everything thoroughly in the sink immediately afterward and used the little brush to scrub the screen, and it takes under 5 minutes
  • Powerful motor – A robust 850-watt motor spins up to 13,000rpm. Made fast work of everything I put in it (fat carrots, apples).
  • Low-Temperature Juicing – Less than 1.8 deg change when food is being juiced. This should help to reduce food spoil.
  • New Cold Spin technology means it maintains the maximum amount of nutrients even though it’s a centrifugal juicer
  • Very easy to use, hard veggies glide through it
  • 100% BPA free plastic components.
  • A large pulp chamber that holds up to 3.4 liters.

Cons

  • It does have quite a few parts to wash, although that would be the same with any juicer
  • Not suitable for juicing leafy vegetables due to the high spinning blades.
  • Noisy – Most centrifugal juicers are loud – Fact! However that is due to the high spinning motor, and the way food is smashed to a pulp to be spun for juice. It’s still noisy though!
  • Due to the rapidly spinning blades, oxidation still occurs.
  • Bulky – This is not a very small machine, but that is a curse and a blessing. It has a vast pulp collector and juice jug, both excellent, but not space saving.
  • There is more pulp waste as compared to a masticating juicer.
  • Many plastic ingredients – They are BPA free, and that at least is comforting.
  • Wet Pulp – Occasionally damp paste or un-juiced greens are spat out whole. PRO TIP: Slowly push the plunger down as you juice. Rapid juicing causes even more waste!
  • 1-year warranty.

Overview

Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juice Extractor is the lowering wattage juicer in the Juice Fountain Plus plan. However, it is still an essential juicing machine that can stand up to energetic daily use. It has a small footstep on the countertop and looks sleek and clean. The dial is so easy that you will never wonder how to use it – there are merely two speeds depending on the texture of the products you are juicing.

The extra-large chute on the machine will be one of your features. You can feed various fruits and vegetables immediately into the Breville JE98XL without even owning to chop them at all. Cutting prep season to a bare minimum is essential to be able to juice on a consistent basis. Moreover, the easy to remove parts are dishwasher safe, and the juicer comes with a stroke that performs it easy to clean the filter within uses.

Key Features

  • Highest juice extraction – Some of the hardest pulp I have ever noticed in a centrifugal model
  • 3-inch extra full feeder chute – spend less time making food ere you juice it
  • 850 W dual speed machine – Helps get the most fluid and nutrition from soft fruit
  • Stainless steel filter basket and blades – They’ll never corrode
  • Includes large juice jug with pulp separator – No need to stop and transfer to another container
  • Overload protection – Keeps you from damaging the motor
  • Parts are dishwasher safe – Most mid-priced standards need to be hand washed
  • Cleaning brush included – Fits the contours of the juicer like a glove to make cleaning easier
  • Limited one-year warranty – Not the most extended warranty but it’s unlikely you’ll ever cash it in

Power & Speed

Dual Speed SettingBreville JE98XL is installed with an 850-watt motor, which is very capable of juicing hard fruits like carrots and beets. It can even juice giant chunks of pineapple by their rind on.

But, a motor running at very high speed doesn’t always mean it is the active set for just about any product. Leafy greens have inferior mass than solid fruits and veggies, spinning them fast might not effectively juice them.

Fortunately, this is quickly addressed by this juicer’s dual speed setting. Most radial juicers out there only have a single speed setting, so this is a plus. The low environment runs the motor at a low speed of 6,500 rpm, which is excellent for kale and even fibrous veggies like celery.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Dual speed setting to efficiently handle both leafy greens and hard fruits and veggies
  • Fast Juicing
  • Large feed chute to reduce the time involved in cutting the ingredients
  • Easy clean up as most parts are dishwasher safe
  • Excellent at plucking juice from carrots and apples
  • Stability on the Countertop
  • Easy to use, assemble, and disassemble
  • Powerful Motor – The 850-watt motor is quite fast for the price. For a centrifugal juicer, speed is vital as it spins the juice from the fruit and veg, and getting those juices out at speed is really what matter!

Cons

  • Pulps end up not doing dry most of the time
  • Might Make a Countertop Mess
  • Can Clog at the Pulp Bin
  • Does a poor job extracting juice from kale
  • Not Good for Leafy Greens
  • Not Multifunctional – not everyone is looking for a multifunctional juicer that can make peanut butter and pasta, so this is only my preference, but it may be a consideration you want to take into account.

Conclusion

Overall, this is an excellent juicer for beginners. The Breville BJE430SIL vs. Breville JE98XL packs quite a punch if you’re looking for a juicer that is on the cheap end but still high quality. While it does have some issues with leafy greens and is not the quietest machine on the market, it’s great if those are not any concerns. If you’re a juicing veteran and need your leafy greens, you might want to look elsewhere.
